All of our host-systems operate multi-core processors for improved scheduling.
Multi-core instances
Customers receive multiple cores for increased peak performance. We intentionally provide fewer virtual-cpus than our competitors for improved worse-case performance.
Lightning fast storage
We've scaled out our storage considerably, current benchmarks rank the performance from a single instance similar to that of solid-state storage
Disk space is wiped before it is assigned to a customer. This ensures that if you ever cancel your account with us, your data will not be exposed to a third party.
Open Source
All of our tools, even those developed in-house, are available under Open Source licenses. We do not implement 'security through obscurity', which assures that we implement best practices and undergo the harshest form of code-review (public!)
Managed Kernel
We manage your OS kernel, ensuring a fast application of kernel-level security patches. User-supplied kernels are a possibility as well!
Direct-routed IP traffic
IP traffic is routed from our edge, to the core, and directly into each virtual machine. This eliminates IP spoofing, theft, snooping, and various other attacks otherwise possible.
SELinux & ACL supported
Our kernels support SELinux and filesystem ACLs. If you're not hapy with our configuration, you may also supply your own security-hardened kernel!
SSH key support
Customers may optionally provide SSH keys for their management console access. Of course, SSH keys may also be used for access to their OS images.
